KSET 2023 Notification: As directed by the Government of Karnataka, a short notification has been released regarding conducting the KSET exam through KEA instead of Mysore VV.
Eligibility to apply for KSET Examination
General category and unreserved candidates must have passed with 55% marks in any post graduation.
Other Backward Classes Candidates, Economically Backward Classes Candidates, SC/ST, PWD Candidates should pass with 50% marks.
Candidates who are studying in the first year, second year of Master’s degree or who have written the exam and are waiting for the result can apply.
KSET Exam Pattern
KSET exam is conducted for total 300 marks.
Paper-1 (Common Paper for all students): For 100 Marks.
Paper-2 (Subject Paper) : For 200 Marks
(KSET Passing Marks)
Candidates should obtain at least the following marks in aggregate in Paper-1 and Paper-2 for Assistant Professor merit list.
General Candidates: 40% Marks
SC / ST / Category-1 / 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B / PWD Candidates : 35%
Information on possible examination fees
Candidates have to pay the below mentioned application fee for respective category.
General Eligible Candidates : Rs. 1150.
Category – IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB Candidates : Rs. 950.
Category I, SC, ST, PWD Candidates : Rs. 650.
Candidates belonging to Category – IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, Category I, SC, ST, PWD should pay the fee related to the caste basis to which they belong and attach the copy of the caste and income certificate attested by the gazetted authorities and the copy of the fee paid receipt along with the application.
