Our central government provides free cylinder gas to women under a scheme called Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana 2.0. In May 2016, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG), first launched this scheme with the objective of making clean cooking fuel like LPG available to rural and underprivileged households.
Rural girls used to work using traditional cooking fuels like firewood, coal, cow cake etc. so that their health and life style went well. Our Prime Minister Modi implemented this scheme to prevent this.
Eligibility to apply for this scheme?
Female applicant must be 18 years old. A single household should not have any LPG connection from any OMC. Applying woman SC, ST. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, Forest Dwellers, People Living in Islands and River Islands, Under SECC Households (AHLTIN) or any 14 Poor family – must belong to point community.

Your Address Proof,
Your Ration Card,
Your Self Declaration Letter.
Aadhaar of the beneficiary and adult family members appearing in the document in SI. Xerox all your bank pass book.
