2,430 Backlog post: Fill in 3 months




BANGALORE: Minister Govind Karajola, who is in charge of the process of filling backlog posts, has been appointed to look into filling the 2,430 backlog vacancies in various departments, corporations, boards, universities and institutions of the state government.



The Cabinet sub-committee, which met on Saturday, received information on the process of filling backlog posts. Officials informed that 446 Scheduled Castes and 436 Scheduled Tribes vacancies are lying vacant in state and aided colleges, state-funded technical colleges and universities. The committee recommended that the posts be filled within a week.



Notification within the Karnataka Lokasewa Commission (KPSC) should also be notified within a week. The recruitment process should be completed within six months. The committee directed the respective departments to request KPSC to supplement it.




Kota Srinivasa Poojary, Minister of State; Ankara and Prabhu Chavana were in the meeting. Heads of Departments including the General Secretaries of various departments were present at the meeting.
