Bangalore Rural District, Feb 03: Interested applications have already been invited for setting up of Village One Center in every Gram Panchayat on the basis of a franchise based on the Bangalore One Model, to bring all the Government services under one roof.

 

 

 

Gram Panchayas, Arabhomanahalli, Greater, Hunter, Narasipur, Kulanahalli, Hunter, Kinakhanti, Narasipur, Shivakangi, Kulanakalli, Kanamangala, Karahalli, Koira, Nallur, Kanamangalapur Taluk Grama Panchayats of Hadripura, Honnavar, Kanasavadi, Majara Hosahalli, Upper Juganahalli (SSGhatti), Thoubagere, Tippur, Hoskote Taluk No application has been received in Devanahandi, Periyakullur, Periyanalla, Ganapalur, Kalkunte Agrahara, Kambalipura, Mugabal, Muthsandra, Nilamikal, Orohalli and Shivanapur.

 

 

 

Karnataka One, which serves the people of urban areas, is intended to serve the people of the village through the ‘Village One’ model of Bangalore One.

Village One:

It is an ambitious project of the Government of Karnataka, which aims to deliver the civil services of all departments to the rural citizens within their villages. The project is planned to be a one-point help center that will deliver citizen-centric services such as G2C services, banking services, RTI queries and other services to all citizens at the village level.

 

 

The Chief Ministers of Karnataka have announced this plan in the Budget 2020-21. Village One centers operate all weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm. Many services are already being provided in a timely manner. Such a center would be started in all the villages in the state.

 

 

Under the scheme, Bangalore-One Karnataka-One will have many services under the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms and private partnership. There are many services available, including the Right to Information Act, Chief Minister’s Relief Services, Department of Agriculture Services, Labor Department Services, Old Age Pay, Disability Pay.

 

 

The benefits of Village One centers are:

 

Citizens do not need to visit the district, taluk and hobli offices to get government services.

The services of various departments can be obtained in one center.

Citizens can save time and money by getting services through Gram One centers.

There is no risk from intermediaries.

Employment will be created at the village level

 

 

Financial inclusion is achieved by allowing each GramOne center to function as a micro banking institution

Self-reliance is upheld because citizens do not have to rely on anyone to get government services

Socio-economic development is achieved through timely and quality delivery of services

 

 

The public will benefit from the projects without any intermediaries. More than 100 services are available under one roof. One of the features of the project is that the Gram One project is integrated with the timely software to ensure timely delivery of services.

 

 

It can be recalled that Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai said when he launched the project that the Tahsildars and the Sub Divisional Officers should be more effective in the embodiment of this ambitious project and that the District Officers should lead the effective implementation of the project.
