Job seekers who want to get a job in the Karnataka government sector have got a great opportunity. The Karnataka Forest Department (KFD) has issued an official recruitment notification to fill 750 Forest Watcher vacancies across the state.
The last date for submission of applications, which was earlier fixed, has now been extended till October 30, giving another opportunity to eligible candidates to apply online.

A total of 750 posts are being filled in various districts and forest circles of the state through this recruitment process. If we look at the circle-wise vacancies details: Forest Observer posts are available in Chamarajanagar (169), Mysore (120), Bangalore (70), Bellary (62), Canara-Uttara Kannada (60), Chikkaballapur (56), Mangalore (54), Belgaum (42), Shivamogga (38), Kodagu (32), Hassan (30), Dharwad (12) and Kalaburagi (04) circles.
Educational Qualification and Application Fee:
Candidates who wish to apply for these posts should have passed 10th class (SSLC) or equivalent examination from a recognized education board. The main advantage of this recruitment is that there is no application fee for the candidates. Candidates of all categories can apply completely free of cost. The age limit and age relaxation of the candidates will be decided as per the prevailing rules of the Forest Department.
Direct Selection Process Without Examination:
The most special thing about this recruitment is that there is no competitive written examination for the candidates. The first stage selection is done on the basis of the merit of the marks obtained by the candidates in the SSLC examination. Then the selected candidates will be subjected to a physical test and a medical test and finally assigned to the post.
