Recently, Uttar Pradesh government, as the collection of rabi crop for the prescribed Minimum Support Price (MSP) 2022-23 began, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given directions to the officials to transfer the money to the Farmers Bank Account within 72 hours.

The government has set a target of collecting 60 lakh MT of wheat this year. The central government has fixed the MSP for wheat at Rs 2,015 per quintal, compared to Rs 1,975 per quintal last year.

 

 

 

Under the PMFME scheme, the government provides assistance to start their work in the food industry. Small food processing industries can be started under this.

It is the government’s wish that farmers should get good prices for their crops. For this, farmers will be connected with food processing industry. There is no chance of crop damage after food processing and the product fetches better prices in the market

 

 

 

 

This will create a lot of employment opportunities. Further, the government is making arrangements to train farmers and entrepreneurs to set up businesses, he said.

 

Presiding over the high-level review meeting of the officials, Adityanath suggested that the officials should make all necessary arrangements for purchasing wheat in their districts so that the farmers do not face any problem.
