    Scholarships for post-matric courses: Application deadline extended till November 30

    The Department of Backward Classes Welfare has extended the last date for online application for various facilities for eligible students studying in post-matriculation courses other than PUC for the year 2026-27 to November 30.

    Applications have been invited from eligible backward class students and students belonging to category-1 nomadic and semi-nomadic communities for the facilities of post-matric merit scholarship, ‘fee refund’ and ‘Education-Meal and Housing Assistance Scheme’.

    The last date for submitting applications is November 30. The Backward Classes Welfare Officer has informed in a notification that eligible students should take advantage of this extended date facility.

    Introduction to rural life for city students: ‘Gramanubhav’ program launched in Bellary on November 1

    A new program called ‘Gramanubhav’ has been organized by the Samagra Shikshan Karnataka, District Planning Office with the aim of providing practical introduction to rural life, agricultural activities and culture to urban students.

    On November 01 at 11 am, Housing Minister B. Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan will launch the program at the Government (Municipal) Pre-University College Grounds in the city.

    *Objective of the Program

    Students studying in classes 8, 9 and 11 in government, aided and unaided schools in urban areas have been selected for this project. The main goal is to provide the selected students with direct and real experience of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and rural art and culture.

    The coordinator of the Integrated Education Karnataka, District Planning Office, said that this innovative project will help in creating awareness and practical knowledge about rural life among students.

    The ‘Aditya Birla Capital Scholarship Program 2026-27’ has been announced to help talented girl students facing financial difficulties to pursue higher education.

    Aditya Birla Capital Foundation is offering scholarships. Eligible and interested students can apply online. The last date for applying is October 30.

    Girls studying from class 9 to post-graduate level in schools, colleges or educational institutions recognized by the Central Government can apply. Not only that, but also girls studying in polytechnic diploma and graduation level can also take advantage of it. The student should have scored at least 60% marks in the previous academic year and the annual family income should be less than Rs. 6 lakh.

    The selected students under the scholarship scheme will get financial assistance as per the course. Annual scholarship of Rs. 25 thousand will be given to students of class 9 to 12 and diploma students, Rs. 45 thousand to graduate students and Rs. 60 thousand to those pursuing post-graduate studies.
