Central Government Jobs: 8.72 lakh vacancies in various government departments.

 

 

There are 485 vacancies in UPSC where staffing is recruited. This includes 45 of the A group, 240 of the B group and 200 of the C group, he added.

 

 

 

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Finance Jitendra Singh on Thursday informed the Rajya Sabha that there are 8.72 lakh vacancies in various government departments as on March 1, 2020.

 

 

 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Central World Service Commission (UPSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB), which are the three major recruiting agencies, have made a total of 2.65 lakh appointments in 2018-19 and 2020-21, the minister said in a written reply.

 

 

 

The UPSC, which employs staff, has 485 vacancies. This includes 45 of the A group, 240 of the B group and 200 of the C group, he added.

 

 

 

According to a written reply by Minister Jitendra Singh, there are 9,10,153 vacancies for March 1, 2019 and 6,83,823 vacancies for March 1, 2018. As of March 1, 2020, there were 8,72,243 vacancies in various departments of the central government.
