NEW DELHI: The Union Government on Saturday announced an LPG Subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder (up to a total of 12 cylinders) for the Prime Minister’s Prime Minister’s Benefit Scheme. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who tweeted about this, said that this year, the Prime Minister is offering a subsidy of ₹ 200 per LPG gas cylinder to more than 9 million beneficiaries of the Ujwala project. It has been announced that it will help the mothers and sisters of every household in our country.
We are reducing the central excise duty on petrol by ₹ 8 per liter and central excise duty on diesel by ₹ 6 per liter. The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the petrol price will be reduced by ₹ 9.5 per liter and diesel by ₹ 7.
In addition to the fertilizer subsidy of ₹ 1.05 lakh crore in the budget, an additional ₹ 1.10 lakh crore will be provided to further help Indian farmers, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram said in a statement.
