Great news: Thinking about giving money instead of ration…

Vijayawada: Another significant decision has been taken by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh. The state government seems to be heading for major changes in the public distribution system. The TDP government had previously intended to implement it.

Yes the Jagan government did this idea two years ago. But it was not implemented then. Last year, there were attempts to implement a cash transfer scheme instead of rations. The intention is to give cash if the beneficiary does not want rice.

The government has also exercised its discretion on the recommendation of the sub-committee in this regard. But the plan, which had been thought of for many days, had fallen into disrepair. But now the procedure is likely to start practically soon.

Under this scheme, the money transfer scheme will come into effect from May. Opinion will be collected from volunteers from 18 to 22 from non-rice beneficiaries. It is reported that the documents are then collected and the KG is planned to pay Rs 12 to Rs 15 per kg.
