KPTCL: Energy Department appointments are a priority

 

 

Bangalore: Karnataka Electricity Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has only five candidates (Bescom, Sescom, Hescom, Mescom, Jessam) vacant as Assistant Engineer, Junior Assistant Engineer and Junior Assistant Engineer.

 

 

This move by the government will help mirror job in various Eskom. This time 1,456 posts have been applied for. Appointment notification has already been issued.

 

 

Apply online from 7 pm. March 7 is the last day. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will conduct a selection test. In order to be eligible for aptitude test conducted by KEA, a minimum of 50 marks is required in the compulsory Kannada exam.

 

 

 

In 2015, when DK Shivakumar was the Minister of Energy, he was exempted from compulsory Kannada examination by appointment of Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer and other technical posts. More than 60 vacancies were held by candidates from outside states including Andhra Pradesh. Sources said the Kannada organizations and student unions were opposed to this.
